Web design studio · Small business only
Templates are master keys. We cut yours.
A master key opens every door in the building — which is the whole problem. Your competitors bought the same template you did. We design and hand-build one website, for one business, cut to fit the way you actually get customers.
01 — The problem
Your website looks like everyone else's because it is everyone else's.
Drag-and-drop builders made it easy for any business to get online. They also made it so a plumber in one town and a plumber three states over ship the same layout, the same stock photo, the same hero sentence. Customers cannot tell you apart, because visually there is nothing to tell apart.
The cost is not aesthetic. It is that a template cannot describe what makes your business worth calling — it was built to describe nothing in particular, for everybody.
02 — What we do
Three things, done properly.
-
01
Design & build
A site designed from a blank page for your business, then hand-built as fast static pages. No builder, no plugin stack, no theme licence. It loads in under a second on a phone on mobile data, because there is almost nothing to load.
-
02
Found by search & AI
Structured data describing your business, a real sitemap, and content written as clear answers to the questions customers actually type. Server-rendered HTML that Google and AI assistants can read without running JavaScript.
-
03
Ongoing care
Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, and content changes handled on request. Optional, and cancellable. The site is yours whether or not you keep us.
03 — Process
Four cuts, three to five weeks.
Each stage ends with something you can look at and approve. Nothing moves forward on a maybe.
-
CUT 1
Scope
One call about how customers currently find and choose you. Ends with a fixed price and a date.
-
CUT 2
Design
A real page you can click, not a slide deck. Two rounds of changes are included in the price.
-
CUT 3
Build
Hand-built, tested on real phones, checked for accessibility and load speed before you see it.
-
CUT 4
Launch
We move the domain, watch it for a week, and walk you through it. Written handover, in plain English.
04 — Ships with
The floor, not the upsell.

05 — Questions
The things people ask on the first call.
How much does a small business website cost?
It depends on how many pages you need and whether the site takes bookings or payments. A brochure site for a local trade is a different job from a multi-location service business. You get a fixed price after a short scoping call, and it does not move once work starts.
How long does it take?
Three to five weeks from first call to launch for most small business sites. The biggest variable is how fast photos, service descriptions, and business details come back from you.
Why not just use Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress?
They are fine for getting online this week. The tradeoff is that they load slowly, ship code you do not control, and produce a site that looks like every other business using the same template. Hand-building avoids all three. If a builder genuinely is the right call for your budget, we will tell you that on the first call rather than sell you something bigger.
Will my site show up in ChatGPT and other AI assistants?
AI assistants cite pages they can read and verify. That means server-rendered HTML instead of
JavaScript-only pages, AI crawlers allowed in robots.txt, structured data
describing your business, and content written as clear answers to real questions. All four are
built in by default. Nobody can guarantee a citation, and anyone promising one is guessing.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Domain, hosting account, and code are all in your name. No platform lock-in, and nothing expires if you stop working with us.
What happens after launch?
A walkthrough and a written handover. Ongoing care is optional: updates, monitoring, backups, and content changes handled on request instead of landing on your to-do list.
06 — Start
Tell us how customers find you now.
One call, about twenty minutes, no deck. You will leave it knowing what your site would cost and how long it would take — whether or not you hire us.
